Liz was one of the kindest, smartest and loving individuals I've ever met. She always had a smile on her face and always willing to lend a hand. I am blessed to have known her. I am sending love and Light to her family and friends.

I have no words to express how sad I feel knowing about Elizabeth's passing until now. She was just a beautiful girl full of energy and charm and just like her wonderful mother she was just a wonderful human being. May God bring comfort in knowing that she will live forever in the hearts of the people she touched.

Liz was such a bright and vibrant spirit. She was loved and respected by all of us at The Cancer Support Center, where she often popped in just to see how she could help. We already miss her, but we cherish our fond, warm memories. She was one in a million! Please let us know if we can help in any way. Our thoughts are with you.

I am so torn to hear that Elizabeth has passed. She was one of the first girls I met when I moved her, she alwasy seemed to like being educated and learning as much as she could, she had some of the best friends that I can think of growing up, I went all through Heather Hill, to Parker, To H-F with her, I never really got to know her, and I feel as if I should have. I will always keep her in my mind and in my heart, and my heart goes out to you, the Barry family. I hope your holidays can be a little bit cheery, and keep your heads clear. Your Daughter/Grand-Daughter/Cousin/Friend, although didn't lead a very long life, she lead a full one, and made alot of people in her life smile. Feel better, okay? Contact me if you would like to vent/talk.

Dear Janice, Jim, Matthew, and Jessica,
Words cannot express our sadness with the news of Elizabeth's death. We are so sorry for this tragedy, and we pray your faith, family, friends, and memories will carry you through this time of devastating loss.
What I remember about Elizabeth from 8 years ago is how quiet she was, and what a joy she was to be with. When I read the article in the paper, it talked about her crew mates saying how talkative she was! While I may have missed her precious teenage years, we were priveleged to have known her and looked forward to the the great accomplishments in her future. All of the world has suffered a loss of one of our brightest stars. Heaven is shining brighter because she is there. May her light bring you peace in the years to come. God bless you.

To all who loved...I lend to you for awhile, a child of mine He said..for you to love the while she lives, and mourn for when she's dead. It may be twenty two or so, but will you, till I call her back..take care of her for me. She'll bring her charms to gladden you. And shall her stay be brief. you'll love her lonely memories, as solace for your grief..I cannot promise she will stay..since all from earth returns. But there are lessons taught down there..I want this child to learn. I've looked the wide world over..in my search for teachers true..and from the throngs that crowd lifes lanes..I have slected you. Now will you give her all your love, nor think th elabor vain..nor hate me when I come to call. To take her home again..I fancied that I heard them say "Dear Lord, Thy will be done." For all the joy that child shall bring..the risk of grief will run. We'll shelter her with tenderness..we'll love her while we may..and for the happiness we've known..forever greatful stay. But shall the Angels call her..much sooner then we've planned..we'll brave the bitter grief that comes..and try to understand. I grieve with you in silence.

To the Barry Family
We were shocked and saddened to hear the news of Elizabeth's passing. I was fortunate enough to have Elizabeth as a student and often wished I had a hundred more like her (did get two more). I have fond memories of Elizabeth tutoring Patrick in viola during the summers, she was always so kind, patient, and tried to come up with something new to work on. I used to enjoy listening to them play. The world has lost a wonderful young lady, but heaven has gained an angel. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this difficult time.

It was truly an honor to have Liz in my orchestra during my first year at Homewood-Flossmoor. She was a marvelous student and a dedicated musician. I hope that her professionalism and love of learning was an inspiration to all whom her life touched. "Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them."
