Frederick J. Glatz of Mokena, born September 25, 1935 in Chicago, passed away July 24, 2003 at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital, Chicago. Preceded in death by wife, Yvonne [nee] Alberts [1996]; survived by sons, Fred [Chris], Frankfort, Robert, Alsip and Richard [Heidi], Homer Glen; 3 grandchildren, Katlyn, Madison & Trevor. Mr. Glatz was a Firefighter for the Chicago Fire Department, Engine 123 and member of Chicago Firefighters Union Local #2 and International Association of Firefighters AFL-CIO-CLC #2 and Veteran of U.S. Army 1960-1962. Visitation 2 to 9p.m. Monday, July 28, 2003 at Gerardi Funeral Home, Lincoln Hwy. at 95th Avenue, Frankfort. Funeral 10a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Our Mother of Good Council, Homer Glen, Illinois. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park. Memorials to American Cancer Society appreciated. Info 815-469-2144

Fred was one of the finest men I knew. It was too bad that our paths did not cross earlier in life. He was always a gentleman. He will surely be missed by many.
