Janet Hills Wilkinson

Wilkinson, Janet Hills Janet (Janet Sue Hills, Janet Sue Stupp, Janet Sue Felten, Janet Sue Wilkinson, Janet Hills Wilkinson) passed away peacefully Sunday evening January 1, 2012 with her daughter and cousin at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Audrey; and her two husbands, Donald and Richard. She is survived by her stepfather, Ray and his family; her Aunt Geraldine; her cousins, Valerie, Linnea and John; her sister, Roxie; her daughter, Donna and grand-daughters, Kelly and Lisa; and her step-daughters, Lori and Terilyn and their families. As a young girl Janet played the trombone and was a patrol guard at school. Later in her academic career she achieved both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Welfare and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from San Diego State University. Janet was an Entrepreneur Extraordinaire with achievements that range from being a licensed marriage and family counselor; to restoring numerous boats and yachts; to starting multiple businesses which included making use of her nautical Captain's license and owning retail stores both on Catalina Island and on San Antonio's River Walk. She was an animal lover like no other, rescuing innumerable animals and finding them homes. She has had a significant impact in many people's lives, is loved and will be missed by all. A memorial will be held on Saturday June 16th at the marina 1880 Harbor Island Blvd, San Diego from 1 4pm. All her friends are invited and welcome. Bring your favorite pictures so we can make copies.
