Dear Kathy and Tony and Family,

Tony and Kathy,
I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I did not know Kevin personally, the stories you shared with me about him and the way your eyes lit up when you talked about him were all that was needed for me to know that he was a wonderful young man. We've known Kevin since he was just a few days old. He was an adorable child and grew into a unique, extremely knowledgable, witty & well versed young man. He ALWAYS made us laugh! We always enjoyed hearing a Kevin tale from his parents as he grew older. (Their eyes would always sparkle as they told it). Butch & Kathy you are and were the most conscientious & involved parents I know and this should never have happened to you. Tony, Kathy, Dave & Amy, oh how I wish we could take away your pain.
We love you Kevin & you will always be missed by all the "Dirtbags".

Our Hearts and prayers are with you. Kevin was one of the boys that helped make Matt's move to Tinley Park and Prairie View his home. The one funny story that I remember is when your family went on vacation and Kevin put the sunscreen on his stomache to make a smiley face.Unfortunatly the rest of his stomcahe burned. He had a great sense of humor and beautiful smile and that is how we will remember him. May God hold you in the palms of his hands to give you strenght.

Dear Anthony and Kathy, I want to express how deeply sadened my daughter Alea and I are .Kevin was a good friend to our daughter Alea .She would always say how he would make her laugh all the time. I am so glad he asked her to the senior prom ,and that we have some beatiful pictures of them together. I know they spoke some after starting college,I'm so glad they stayed friends. I can not think of any greater loss, than losing a child.
Every time I saw Kevin he had a smile on his face and was a joy to be around. He was a great friend to my daughter especially when she needed someone to pick up her spirits. Kevin will be greatly missed and never forgotten by our family.

Dear Janik Family,
I want to express our deepest sympathy for your family. I had the greatest respect for Kevin and he became a great friend to my son. Steven and Kevin shared a dorm room last year at UIC and when I spoke to Steven he always had to tell me something about Kevin. When I came up to visit Steven, I would always invite Kevin to eat with us and he was such a pleasure to be with. His smile could light up any room. I will always be so greatful for the friendship that developed between the two of them. When Steven decided to come to SIU this year he told me that he would miss Kevin the most. Thank you for sharing your son with our family. He will be missed greatly and we truly have been blessed by having Kevin in our lives. We shall treasure our memories forever. I will keep your family in my prayers.
