Vincent Sgariglia Obituary

GARIGLIA Vincent F. Sgariglia, age 86, a resident of Marian Village in Homer Glen formerly of Frankfort and Chicago Heights passed away Monday, May 31, 2009. He was the founder and owner of Vindee Industries in Matteson, a veteran of the United States Army, a former member of Catholic War Veterans, V.F.W. and Marchiagiani Society all of Chicago Heights. Vincent is survived by his loving family, children, Philip (Margaret) Sgariglia, Carolyn (Gregory) Stanek and Susan Smiley; grandchildren, Keith (Melinda) and Erik (Yoshiko) Sgariglia, Kelli Foy, 2nd Lt. Joseph and Cara Stanek; great-grandchildren, Riley and Elliott Sgariglia; and numerous nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dena (nee Corradetti) Sgariglia. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, June 5, 2009 from 3-9 p.m., and again on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Our Lady of Angels Chapel 15624 South Marion Drive Homer Glen from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. For Information: 815-806-2225.
