Eric Dee Preimesberger, 29, of Farmington, was taken from us some time between April 21 and April 24, 2010, by a senseless act of violence in Reno, Nev. His legal date of death is Aug. 19, 2010, the day the medical examiner's office received him into their care. He was born July 9, 1980, in Bozeman, Mont., to Edwin J. and Kay Preimesberger.
Eric moved with his family to Farmington in 1990. He attended school in Farmington and graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1998. He graduated from San Juan College after two years of auto body repair training.
Eric lost his father at an early age, so he vowed to be the best dad ever to his children and he was until the day he was tragically taken from them. Eric was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents, X. Fred Preimesberger and Pete and Julia Penner; and his uncle, Charles "Chuck" Preimesberger.
He is survived by his children, Ivy Rayne, age 6, and Damien Eric, age 22 months; his parents, bonus stepfather, William Wilson and mother, Kay Wilson, both of Farmington; bonus mom, Laurie Harns, of Vancouver, Wash.; brother, Coby Preimesberger and sister, Teresa Wilson of Farmington; bonus sisters, Kara and Nicole Lukens of Vancouver, Wash.; bonus sister, Janie Sheets of Kirtland; bonus brother, M. Eugene Sheets III of Snyder, Texas; mother-in-law, Lisa Fargen; and by numerous aunts, uncles, many, many cousins and loving friends from all over the country.
Eric was an outstanding father who loved spending time with his kids and playing with them as often as he could.
When not with his kids, Eric spent time riding his beloved Honda Rukus Scooter with the BBSC, "Battle Born Scooter Crew," his scooter club in Reno. He rode in many races and had the trophies and the broken bones to show for it. He rode with Don Sheets Jr., his cousin and one of his best buds.
Memorial services for Eric will be at a time and place to be announced later.

Eric,
I can only imagine how much of a pleasure knowing you would have been. I never heard of you until you were missing. Your mom has gone through an awful lot searching for you and her efforts finally paid off. That is a mothers' undying love. I'm in for the long haul on what happens next and praying God's will be done in this sad situation. God bless your family and may you finally rest in peace.

Eric, I never knew you. To your parents. My heart hurts for you. What an unnecessary loss. Always know that our God loves us and will see you through this sad time. Kay and all the family, my thoughts and prayers are very much with you. You may be feeling the natural longing for one more day, or one more 'I Love You' or embrace and find time seems to stand still right now. Noone may understand why this senseless act happened taking Eric's life before anyone was ready for good-bye, it is important to remember that Eric lived, in that, he has given you and many others cherished memories, smiles and words that are too beautiful to forget.. Eric was one of my best friends growing up and I was lucky enough to call him my cousin. He was always a joy to be around no matter what we were doing... snowboarding, riding motorcyles, or just driving around listening to music and talking trash to each other. Eric was a genuinly nice and wonderful person and he will never be forgotten. I will miss you dearly Eric.
