Joe Lee Obituary

Joe Earl Lee, 57, passed away peacefully with the love of his life, Lynn Lee, by his side on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, after having suffered a massive heart attack. Joe was born Feb. 10, 1956, in Ft. Morgan, Colo., to parents James Hubert Lee and Virginia Joe Christesson Lee.
Growing up he lived in Monticello, Utah. and Farmington. While in high school he found
his future wife and best friend, Lynn Eberhard. They married in the summer of 1978. Their marriage was an example of love and devotion that lasted for 35 years and will live on through eternity. Joe was a kind, sweet and loving man. He was loved by all and cherished by many. He loved everyone and everything. He never met someone he did not like. He looked like a big gruff guy on the outside, but on the inside he was a giant marshmallow.
Riding motorcycles, wood working, and being with his family were his passions. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling with his wife. He especially loved going down to
Corpus Christi, Texas, to go fishing with his buddy Gary Taylor. Joe was a hard worker. He followed in his grandfathers and fathers footsteps, working in the oilfields for over 30 years. He worked his way up from rig hand "worm" to drilling consultant. He loved what he did and was admired and respected by his coworkers. He earned their respect by giving them respect.
Joe was preceded in death by his father; step-mother, Emelia Lee; brother, James
Harold Lee; paternal grandparents, Ocie and Ruby Lee; maternal grandparents, Joe and
Elizabeth Christesson; father-in-1aw, William L. Eberhard; and granddaughter Brittnee. He leaves behind his wife; his mother; daughter Suzy Lee - Joe's favorite saying to her was "I love you Suzaroo", and daughter Wendi Tellez; sister, Suzy Horace (Clifton); step-brother, Tony Guthrie (Estela); granddaughters, Breeana and Latycia Lee; mother-in-law, Evelyn Eberhard; "adopted" son, Eric Eberhard; sister-in-laws, Mercedes Lee, Arlene Still, Gail Holiday (Neil), and Gwen Zawistowski (Richard); he is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Joe, you had such a good heart and you were always willing to help those around you. We love you and will miss you greatly. You are forever in our hearts!
Joe's care is entrusted to Alternative Choice, 804 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, 505-325-9611. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at www.serenityandcompany.com.
