Joshua Islas Obituary
Josh was a family man. He loved all his family and would have had them around him all the time. Wanting to make a difference in the world Josh, Loretta, and Colby rang the bell for the Salvation Army every Christmas. Josh was on the scene whenever there was someone in need of help. He lived his life with a big heart in everything he did.
Josh was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Corrine Islas; grandfather, Eugene Islas; and aunt, René Islas Rahm.
Joshua will be greatly missed by many and leaves behind his children, Colby Islas, Adrien Islas, Faith Islas and Chase Islas; mother and father, Michell and Michael Bainter; brother, Justin (Donna) Islas; nephews, Dominic, Tristan and Gabriel Islas; uncles, Steve (Trudi) Islas and Greg (Ines) Islas; cousins, Cortnee (Chris) Patterson, children: Lilly, Virgil and Jacob, Ashlee (Joseph) Costales, children: Alicia Costales, Poppi and Kingston Islas, Sandy Overton, Russ Islas, Terri Black; great aunts, uncles and numerous cousins whom he loved with all his heart.
Special thanks to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Mortuary in Farmington.
A viewing and recital of the Rosary will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11.
A funeral service for Joshua will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12 at Sacred Heart in Old Colorado City. Josh will be laid to rest in his beloved Colorado Mountains. Interment is being handled by Blunt Mortuary 2229 W. Colorado Ave., Colorado Springs, CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to any Salvation Army.
Joshua's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at www.serenityandcompany.com.
