Leroy Pesata Obituary
Leroy graduated from Dulce High School and entered into the NM State Police Academy. He joined the Jicarilla Apache Nation as a police officer. He then met his wife Irene and they made their home in Upper Fruitland, NM. Where they cared for their livestock, went to rodeos and spent time with family and friends. Leroy was a very kind and giving person. His smile lit up the room. He has entered the gates of Heaven holding, his straw hat and taking his beloved horse "Burrito" on an Eternal ride.
Leroy was preceded in death by his Wife, Irene Pesata; parents, Joe Pesata and Ruth Maria; Bothers Joe Pesata Jr. and Nathaniel Pesata; Sisters, Jacqueline Pesata and Amanda Thomas.
He is survived by his sons, Anthony Pesata, Timothy Halwood and James Halwood; Daughter, Ilene K. Pesata-Silago; Sisters, Selma Pesata and Margie Astor; grandchildren, Ryan Pesata, Isaiah Pesata, Raechel Halwood and the late Alton Halwood.
Visitation will be at 9 AM. Tuesday, Feb. 20 at World Harvest Church, 1024 N Butler Ave. in Farmington.
A funeral service for Leroy will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20 at World Harvest Church, 1024 N Butler Ave. in Farmington. Burial to immediately follow at Kirtland/Fruitland Cemetery, Rd 6580, Kirtland, NM. Reception to immediately follow burial.
Leroy's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., Farmington, NM. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at serenityandcompany.com
