Chloe Dangerfield Obituary

1932 ~ 2013
Chloe Janice Richards Dangerfield passed away peacefully March 1. Born May 11, 1932, the 7th of 12 children to John W. and Maggie R. Richards in SLC. She was a lifelong resident of Magna and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1950. She married her sweetheart, Keith V. Dangerfield, in the Salt Lake Temple May 23, 1951. She was employed at Hercules where she worked as a phone operator and secretary and met some of her dearest friends. Keith and Chloe enjoyed traveling for many years with beloved friends in the Ute Salt Shakers group. She was the life of the party, a social butterfly with a quick wit and a positive outlook. She loved to cook, sew, boat and camp - but most of all she enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted member of the Spencer 4th Ward and served in many capacities, her favorite being the compassionate service leader. Chloe is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, sons Byron (Bertha), Brent (Babette), daughters Brooke (John) Ziakas, Brenda (Michael) Tuttle, Bethany, brothers Dale and Joe, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son Brad, grandson Jonathon, four sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Magna Central Stake 8181 W. Breeze Dr. A viewing will be held at Valley View Memorial Park 4335 West 4100 South on Wednesday, March 6 from 6-8 and one hour prior to the service at the church. www.valleyviewfuneral.com

What a dear friend to me she was and is. I could always count on a wonderful hug after hearing her call me Debra Sue. We had such good spiritual talks together and I was inspired by her strong faith. Strength she didn't know she had. I remember her serving me in my time of need. She and Keith installed mini blinds in my bedroom and she hand fed me her spaghetti when I was recovering from brain surgery. She always made the nicest dresses for her daughters. Raised them so well. The love she had for them over-flowed. I never knew the boys. Brenda helped accompany me many times on the piano. I was in helping my sister and knew nothing about her funeral. I loved her humor!!!LOL I just know she's making them laugh on the other side!

I fell in love with this sweet wonderful lady the first time I met her. The beautiful smile was always a part of her. When you folks went South in the winter, I missed her so much. I am so grateful I got to know this wonderful lady. Keith, may you and all your family know that the Spencer 4th ward family will miss her. We send YOU our love and support. Please, don't stay away from the meetings, let us wrap our love around you and encourage you to know, she's only a blink away and FAMILIES ARE FOREVER. I hope you find great peace in your memories of your life here together and remember, the best is yet to come.

Keith and family, Chloe was very special to me and my family. We grew up across the street from each other, attended school together. Really the Richard's were my second family. We managed to keep in touch over these many years. Chloe was a beautiful soul, heaven will be a brighter place now that she is there. She will be missed.
