Marla V. Irwin

Marla Irwin, 80, of Richland, Wash., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, in Richland. She was born Maria V. Whadford, Sept. 24, 1931, in Payette Idaho, to Bonnie Whadford and Dora Collins Whadford.
When Marla was a teenager, her family moved to Selah, Wash., where she met Norma Jones and her mother, Muriel Patterson. She then moved with them to Hooker, Okla., where she attended high school, graduating in 1949. There she met the love of her life, Henry Irwin. Maria and Henry were married in 1951. They lived in Seattle, Indio, Calif., College Place, Wash., Buckeye, Ariz., and Richland.
Her parents; siblings, Chet, Bus, Colin, Doris and Maxine; and adopted mother, Muriel Patterson preceded her in death.
Marla is survived by Henry, her loving husband of 61 years; son, Stacy (Tracey) of Waterflow; son, Steve (Cindy) of Richland; daughter, Kristi Perham and fiance, Clyde Weik, of Spanaway, Wash.; daughter, Jana Treadwell of Los Angeles, Calif.; adopted sister, Norma Jones Lambdin of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. March 10, in the Richland Seventh-day Adventist church.

Sorry to hear of Marla's passing. I have thought of both she and Henry several times through the years. I have certainly missed the letters Marla wrote as they were always full of news. I know she will be greatly missed by each and every member of the family.

Henry and family,
I learned about Marla's passing from my daughter learning about it from Stacy's facebook page. I want to express my sympathy to all the Irwin family. I think she keeps in touch with both Stacy and Kristy.
