Ruby Sarah (Helton) Bennett, 64, of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, in Farmington. She was born April 3, 1952, in National City, Calif., to Mary and Elmer Helton. Ruby graduated from Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, Calif. in 1971. She worked as a medical billing expert. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She enjoyed being at Imperial Beach which was her favorite. She was happily married for 43 years to her best friend Gordon Bennett. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mary Helton; brother, John; and sister, Mary Lou. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Bennett; daughters, Connie, Catrina and Christy; brothers, Dave and Dan; sisters, Evelyn and Juanita; aunt, Rachel; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jordan, James, John, Brandon and Emilee; and great-grandchildren, Phabian, Joseph, Abigail and Gavan. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Light of His Way Church, 1359 N. 1st Street in Bloomfield with officiating by Gale Eldridge.
