Chalmers David Warehime Currituck - MCPO Chalmers David Warehime (Retired), age 79, of Currituck, NC, passed away on September 4, 2025. He was born in Hanover, PA on September 11, 1945, to the late Noah David Warehime and Dorothy Eyler Warehime. Chalmers was the husband of Sandra Day Warehime.

Chalmers' life was marked by dedication and service. He devoted 26 years to the U.S. Navy, achieving the distinguished rank of Command Master Chief before retiring. Following his military career, he served with honor for 13 years at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Chalmers collected trains, particularly those from the Rock Island Railroad. His love for travel found him on the road, RVing to new destinations. At home, he cherished the companionship of his beloved Dachshund fur babies.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his son, Rudy Feuerschutz (Kim); grandchildren, Chevy Feuerschutz (Whitney) and Brittany Jackson (Jordan); great grandchildren, Nova Grace Feuerschutz, Inara Anderson, Noah Anderson, and Garnet Anderson; sister, Shirley Ecker; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Miller.

Chalmers will be remembered for his commitment to service, his enthusiasm for his hobbies, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures.
