John Warehime Obituary

John R. Warehime III was born in Hanover, PA., on February 8, 1947, son of John R. Warehime Jr and Rita Carmen LeBlanc Warehime, grandson of John R. Warehime Sr. and Bertha Zentz Warehime. He entered into eternal rest on his 79th birthday- February 8th, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55½ years, Gladys Elaine Green Warehime; his two children, daughter Teri Lynne Warehime Johnson and her husband, Chris Johnson, and son Jason Scott Warehime; and his grandchildren, Alex, Zachary, and Delaney Johnson, Tyler Warehime, and Kayla Harrison (fiancé, Rex Marshall). He is also survived by his sister, Janice M. Alegria and her husband, Fernando, and his niece, Stephanie Alegria. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chelsea Rodey. John was a car enthusiast. He loved going to car shows, the 75-80 drag strip and watching shows on tv about restoring cars. He joined his friends often while being a member of the Moose and American Legion Post 31. He and Gladys enjoyed traveling to local casinos with friends. He also loved music and would sing his favorite songs from the 50's, 60's and classic country. He was proud of his achievements in the sport of powerlifting by being a nationally ranked power lifter. He thought his greatest achievement of all was his family and he loved spending time with them. He attended all of his children's school activities/sporting events and continued attending those activities for his grandchildren. John graduated from Westminster High School in 1965, Baltimore Institute in 1967 and began employment with BGE in July 1967. He retired in 2012 after 44 years and 10 months of service. After retirement he enjoyed socializing and meeting for a meal with friends. So sorry to hear of the passing of John, I met him on my first day at work in June of 1978. The field office of Customer Accts. with BGE. Over the next ten years we shared many stories, mostly of family, hot rods and Carroll County news. I´m now in Florida and unable to be there, but my sincere condolences to John´s family. He truly was a good ole boy!

We are one of the couples who were John and Glady's casino friends. We were known
for our not so great luck. Right after John passed my husband went to a SuperBowl Party.
He has been attending this party for many years and is not a frequent winner. This year
he won and looked up and said "Thank you John. We just know he had something to do with it.He was greatly loved and a good friend and will be missed by all.
