Connie Bobko Obituary

Connie Pierce Bobko
ELIZABETH CITY - Connie Bobko, age 72, of Elizabeth City, NC died on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at her home. Connie's love of her life, Timothy Bobko, passed in 2022. They were married for 54 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Blenis and husband Paul; her son, Daniel Bobko and wife Elizabeth; and five granddaughters; Anna Shubel, Caroline Shubel, Carissa Ward (Zach), Leah Bobko, and Kamryn Bobko. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Jean Sawyer, Charlie Pierce, Shelia Gordon, Wayne Pierce, Ricky Pierce, Jimmy Pierce, Michael Pierce, Jackie Pierce, and Michelle Munden. She also leaves behind one living Aunt, Gloria Voight; thoughtful cousins, nieces, and nephews; and an ungrateful feral cat, "Handsome," who she still loved despite his not so friendly personality. She was predeceased by her parents, the late Charlie Clifton Pierce and Alethia Lydia Evans Pierce, and a brother, Timmy Pierce.
She leaves behind some amazing friends including Lois Berry, Joan Forehand, Brenda Godfrey, and Dorothy Mercer, who were always checking on her regularly during her battle with ovarian cancer.
Connie was fiercely independent, generous beyond measure, and truly loved her family and her God. The thing that bothered her the most was not being able to help others during her own time of need. It was truly what she lived for.
The family extends a special thank you to everyone who prayed and continually checked on Mom, brought a meal, or visited. A grateful thank you to Albemarle Home Care and Hospice who provided kindness above and beyond during her last weeks.
The family respectfully asks that people not send flowers or bring food. Cards are always appreciated. Instead, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice or perform a random act of kindness in Connie's memory.
A private memorial service will be held with Pastor Kevin Buzzard officiating. The family will be grieving privately and asks for no visits at this time. Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated.
