Joseph Richardson Obituary


Tyner resident

Joseph Franklin Richardson, 55, died Monday, May 23, 2011 in Pasquotank County. Mr. Richardson was born in Baltimore, Md. and was the son of Doris Phthisic Hollowell of Hobbsville and the late Edward Henry Richardson. A commercial fisherman, he was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Belvidere Hunting Club. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 36 years, Wanda Owens Richardson; his daughter, Stacy Richardson Gregory and husband, John, of Norfolk; his son, Joseph Adam Richardson and wife, Dena, of Belvidere; four sisters, Gloria Huggins of Nicholson, S.C., Wanda Lewis of Marion, S.C., Debbie Wiggins of Tyner, and Janine Hobbs of Hobbsville; his brother, Billy Hollowell of Hobbsville; and four grandchildren, Walker Dylan Wheeler, Sidney Breanne Wheeler, Joseph Caleb Richardson and Justin Adam Richardson. A memorial service will be held today at 7 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, by Pastors Lloyd and Delores Meads. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, Highway 37, Belvidere, NC 27919. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.millerfhc.com.
