Kenneth Dale Salmon

MOYOCK - Kenneth Dale Salmon, 77, of Dogwood Drive, Moyock, NC died Monday, January 29, 2018 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. A native of Indiana, he was born March 11, 1940 in Sellersburg to the late Virginia Howard and was the husband of the late Betty Jo Lewis Salmon. He served his country honorably in the US Navy and was retired as a civilian grounds foreman with the US Coast Guard. He enjoyed his membership in the American Legion Post 288 and the VFW.

He is survived by a daughter, Kenya S. Tranquillo of Jarvisburg, NC; a son, Kevin Salmon and wife Carol of Portsmouth, VA; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; a brother, Ronnie Salmon of Indiana; and a special friend, Tim Cody. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Marie Hurst; and a brother, Bob Salmon.

A graveside service with military honors provided by the William Clarence Jackson VFW Post #6060 will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Laurel Memorial Gardens with Minister Kevin Reiver officiating. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Salmon family. Online memorial condolences may be sent to the family at www.TwifordFH.com .
