Lois Lerman Rogerson

Lois Lerman Rogerson Elizabeth City - Lois Lerman Rogerson, age 91, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was born in Elizabeth City, NC on August 4, 1934, to the late Louis F. Lerman and Mahala Twiddy Lerman. Lois was the widow of Douglas G. Rogerson.

She devoted many years of her life to serving her community as a librarian at the Pasquotank/Camden Library, where she shared her passion for knowledge and literature. Prior to her time at the library, she worked diligently as a meat wrapper at the Colonial Store. Lois was a faithful member of Berea Baptist Church, where her spirit was uplifted and sustained by her participation in the T.E.L. Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Harris (Gary) of Elizabeth City, NC; grandchildren, Holly Winslow (Ken) and Buddy Harris (Kim); and great-grandchildren, Harris Winslow, Colby Harris, and Gage Harris. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Collin Winslow.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Twiford Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Jason Wise officiating. A private burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Lois' service will be live streamed on her obituary page.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Perquimans County
