Margaret Lindsay Wertz

Margaret Lindsay Wertz, 85, of 1075 Waterlily Road, Coinjock, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, in the Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Currituck County, to the late David and Alline Vaughn Lindsay and was the widow of the late James Wertz. Mrs. Wertz was a member of the Perry Hall Baptist Church in Baltimore, Md., Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 218, Coinjock, and was a retired receptionist with the Baltimore County Police Department. She is survived by one daughter, Alline Aydlett and husband, Chris, of Grandy; two sons, Wayne Twiford and wife, June, of Coinjock, and James David Wertz, of Baltimore; and one brother, Bill Lindsay and wife, Gin, of Currituck. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and two nephews, Bill Tate and Randy Lindsay. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Sawyer officiating. Burial will be private in the Hampton Cemetery, Coinjock. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Twiford, 1075 Waterlily Road, Coinjock.
