Sterling Griffin Obituary
ELIZABETH CITY - Sterling S. Griffin, Elizabeth City NC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 4, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Eastern Star Church of God in Christ, Elizabeth City, NC at 12:00 noon. He will lie in state from 11:00 am until time of service. Viewing and visitation, Thursday from 4-8:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 5-7:00 pm at the funeral home, at other times 1317 Millpond Rd.
Sterling leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife, Shirley "Sunshine" Griffin; two daughters, Brenda Griffin, New Brunswick, NJ and Jenelle Smith (Tim), Suffolk, VA; three sons, Jerald Perry III, Moyock, NC, Davin Perry, Chesapeake, Va. and Sterling Griffin, Jr. (Tracey), Pittsburgh, PA.; eight siblings, Herbert Moore (Susan), Priscilla Tate (Harry), Debra Moore, Sharon Figgs (Ervin), Vandalyn Ray, Harrell Moore(Ramona), Reginald Moore (Melanie); five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers family asks that memorial donations be made to the Eastern Star COGIC Building Fund in honor of Sterling S. Griffin. You may sign the online guestbook at www.beachrivers.com.
Beach Rivers Funeral Service is expressing sympathy through sincere service to the Griffin family.
