William Crutchley Obituary
Elizabeth City resident
Dr. William Frederick Crutchley Jr., formerly of Elizabeth City, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 in Florida. Born November 10, 1934 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Mildred and William F. Crutchley. Dr. Crutchley operated his own medical practice in Elizabeth City for many years and had worked with Wounded Warriors. He is survived by six children, Ellen Crutchley Gibbs and husband, Jamie, Grant Crutchley and Stephen Crutchley, all of Elizabeth City, Wil Crutchley of New York, Anna and Rob Fowler of Alabama and Becky and Bob Scheller of Woodbridge, Va.; his wife, Louise Crutchley and her children; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. at the Palm Beach National Chapel, Lake Worth, Fla. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and graveside services to follow at 12:45 p.m. The family suggests memorial donations to either the Wounded Warrior Project, Jacksonville, FL, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, or to the American Cancer Society.
