ARCANUM — Carol Lea Tillett Jackson, age 80 and a follower of Jesus Christ, of Arcanum, died and entered the presence of the Lord December 24, 2020. Carol was a long-time farm resident outside of Arcanum, Ohio.
Carol was born in Dayton, Ohio to Charles and Nellie Green Tillett June 23, 1940. She graduated from West Liberty High School in 1958. Prior to marriage, she worked at NCR in Dayton, Ohio. While living in Dayton, Carol met her future husband, Lee Jackson. They were married May 27, 1961.

Carol was involved with her church, serving as a teacher and leader for many years, and she was a true prayer warrior.
Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lee Jackson; three daughters, Mendy (Phil) Norman of Valparaiso, Indiana, Chris (Matt) Oswald of Fresno, Ohio, and Teri (Bill) Russell of Greenville, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Christopher Norman, Jonathan Norman, Vanessa Epperson, Zachary Oswald, Tiffany Newman, Trudy Oswald, Jordan Russell, Tessa Wittmer, Ally Bowers, and Braden Russell; seven great-grandchildren, and one sister, Deb Franz, of Dayton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nellie Green Tillet; her son, Christopher Lee Jackson, and her brother, Mike Tillet.

I was so sorry to see that Carol had passed away, my thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Terry remembered his Aunt fondly. Remember after Terry and I got married we came to the farm and picked up our first dog, who had tangled with a skunk.

I remember having in depth conversations about scripture with Carol and Lee both at their home and in classes at church. She was a serious and devoted follower of God's Word. We will miss her for a short time as she has gone on to be with the Lord. I feel very blessed to have known her. May her investment in her family and all she touched continue to shine Christ's light to the world perpetually for years to come.
