GREENVILLE -- Debbie S. Augustine, age 63 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 7:00 AM at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. Debbie was born in Cirencester, England on September 20, 1958 to Margaret R. (Gatrill) Godown & the late Donald A. Vaughn. Debbie was a Greenville High School graduate, Class of 1976. Debbie married the love of her life, Eric on August 19, 1979, and they had three wonderful sons, Jim, Mike and Matthew. Debbie was an amazing mother, with a kind and generous heart. Family was everything to Debbie and she loved nothing more than spending time with her husband, children, daughter in-laws, and grandson. Debbie exuded love and care, which is exemplified not just with family but also with community. Among other things, she was the leader of the local Community and Unity Outreach program. Debbie attended nursing school and became a LPN, caring for many, including the Greenville community. Debbie loved to travel, attend festivals and celebrate the holidays, especially Halloween. She loved nature and spending time with her two cats. Debbie will be deeply missed.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her sisters Lisa Vaughn and Vicki Mathis.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Eric Augustine, sons and daughter-in-laws, Jim & Heather Augustine, Mike & Esther Choi Augustine, Matt & Kim Augustine, grandson Elliott Augustine, father-in-law Neil Augustine, sister-in-law and husband Stephanie & Frank Szymanski, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and extended family.
Friends may call on the family on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Todd Reish presiding. Burial to follow at Greenville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society. Fond memories may be shared at www.zecharbailey.com for the Augustine Family.
