GREENVILLE -- Dwight Dane Martin, age 58 of Greenville, Ohio passed away Sunday November 24, 2024 at Wayne Hospital in Greenville, Ohio. Born in Greenville on December 28, 1965 he was one of 2 children born to the late Dane D. Martin and Helen Maxine (Miller) Martin.
Dwight had a few jobs of the years, but he honestly enjoyed them all. He worked at Ames in Greenville until the store closed, then worked at K-Mart in Greenville until the store was closed, and finally worked at Walmart in Greenville as an Electronics Associate. He enjoyed being around his coworkers and friends, he was a bit of a homebody but he charged his social battery while at work. He gained the nickname "The Big Guy' from customers and that's what he was often referred to as during his time at Walmart. Dwight is a huge fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ohio State Buckeyes! Dwight is also a graduate of Ansonia High School, class of 1984.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Dwight is survived by his Sister and Brother-in-Law, Denise and Jerry Holsapple of New Madison, Ohio. His Nephews, Zackary and Emily Holsapple of Versailles, Ohio, and Andrew Holsapple of Columbus, Ohio. As well two wonderful Great – Nephews, Brady and Benson Holsapple.
Friends may call on the family on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. Funeral service to be held on following the visitation at 11:00 AM with Rev. Scott Trittschuh presiding. A private family burial will be scheduled at a later date at Brock Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home to help with any final expenses for Dwight.

I worked with Dwight at Kmart and took him home occasionally since he walked to work and back. He was a sweetheart and never heard a cross word from him. Always helpful and kind to everyone. He will be missed. Karen (at Lowe's since Kmart closed)
