SARASOTA, FL -- Gregory "Greg" L. Oda, age 62, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
He was born on October 1, 1962, in Greenville, Ohio, to Agnes (Heidinger) Scheufler of Sarasota, Florida, and the late Richard "Dick" Oda.
In addition to his mother, Greg is survived by his siblings, Michael (Terrie) Fraer of Churchville, Maryland, James Daniel "Dan" Oda of Dayton, Ohio, and Angela (Tony) Crews of Tipp City; his nieces and nephews, Ryan (Kaitlyn) Fraer, Corey (Veronica) Fraer, Ashley (Travis) Key, Brooke Oda, Adam Fair, Alyssa (Matt) Orth; his great nieces and nephews, Stockton Key, Rome Key, Ada Orth, Lucy Orth; and numerous cousins.
Greg was a 1981 graduate of Greenville High School. He worked as a steel fabricator for over 37 years. A true sports fan at heart, Greg found immense joy in rooting for his favorite teams: the Cincinnati Reds, the Bengals, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Greg also enjoyed watching NASCAR.
Greg was loved by his co-workers, family, and friends. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Greg's life will be held at noon on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow at Greenville Union Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
