OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Jeffrey Jay Shrader, 30, passed away suddenly and peacefully in his sleep the morning of Dec. 5, 2013.
Jeff was born June 15, 1983, in Oklahoma City to Glenn John "Jack" Shrader Jr. and Mary Benanzer Shrader. Jeff was a natural athlete. He was very active in playing organized sports. He played soccer, football and basketball and was an avid Oklahoma City Thunder basketball fan.
He had an encyclopedic memory for even the most obscure sports trivia. He had a friendly and giving spirit. One of his favorite pastimes was to distribute food and clothing to the homeless shelter.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Mary Benanzer Shrader of Greenville; his father, Jack Shrader Jr. and wife Pat Lattimore of Oklahoma City; his sister, Jennifer Shrader; nieces, Skylar and Brittany Shrader of Edmond, Okla.; his brother and sister-in-law, Glenn "John" Shrader III and wife Amanda Reed Shrader of Edmond, Okla.; and three stepsiblings.
He will be remembered and greatly missed by his many Benanzer aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding Jeff in his passing are his grandparents, Jack Sr. and Geraldine Shrader and Clarence and Margaret Benanzer of Greenville.
A memorial service was held in Oklahoma City. Condolences can be sent to 140 Dwyer, Greenville, OH 45331.
