Jerome Subler Obituary
VERSAILLES — Jerome "Jerry" (Teddy Bear) Subler, age 64, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away at 6:52 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio.
Jerry was born November 15, 1953, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Edward N. and Clara L. (Barga) Subler. In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by a son, Jacob J. Subler; and a brother-in-law, Carl Meinerding.
Jerry is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Luke and Christina "Tina" Subler of Versailles; sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Joseph Wenning of Coldwater, Ohio, Teresa and Ed Moorman of St. Henry, Ohio, and Paula Meinerding of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a supervisor at Eagle Bridge Company in Sidney, Ohio. He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia, Ohio; Versailles Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2347; Local International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 and retired member of the Laborers Union.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery in Frenchtown. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles EMS or Versailles Fire Department. Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com
