Sally Cox Obituary

DAYTON -- Sally Marie Cox, 55 years old, of Dayton, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away and was carried by the angels into the presence of her Lord in the early morning hours of January 3, 2025. She was born on June 9, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio, to Richard and Helen (Patty) Cox, who preceded her in death along with her great-niece Danelle Rose Weiss.

She is survived by her two brothers Rick and wife Dianna, Tim and wife Connie; her nieces and nephews Kristin and Jonathan Hargrave, Rachel Logel, Amy and Loren Free, Amanda and Lyndon Loftis, Kelli and DJ Maurer, Timothy and Daniela Cox, Rachel and Edhard Weiss, Rebecca and Michael Scott, Thomas, Stephen and Kaylee; thirty-two great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as two great greats, with one on the way. She also leaves behind bonus sisters and best friends, Sis. Crystal Strey, Sis. Carey Myers, Sis. Audrey Wild and Sis. Glenda Beisley.

Sister Sally was saved on March 25, 1979 at the tender age of 9 and took her stand with the Church of God in the summer of 1989. She lived a life that left no doubt about her unwavering love for the truth.

She was a dedicated secretary of the Church of God and worked for the Gospel Trumpet Publishing Company, where she served with great commitment and passion. She touched the hearts of countless children through her many years of dedicated service as a Sunday school teacher. Her involvement in church matters went far beyond her administrative duties; she played a quiet yet important role in the church community, always willing to lend her time and efforts to help wherever she was needed. Her contributions to the church will be deeply missed.

Sister Sally's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the love she shared. She was a bright light in the lives of everyone she encountered. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering generosity touched the lives of family, friends, coworkers and even strangers. Whether through a kind word, a listening ear, or a healing hand, Sister Sally made the world a better place simply by being in it. She had a unique way of making others feel seen, valued and loved, and her ability to spread joy was unmatched.

Though she may have been taken from us too soon, her legacy will live on through the gifts that she passed on to us.
