Anna M. Canetti

1932 - 2022

Anna M. Canetti passed away on January 30, 2022. She was born April 20,1932 in San P.edro. Anna worked side by side with her husband Joseph Canetti sr at their family restaurant, Canetti's seafood grotto. They were married for 63 yrs. Anna was an avid Gardner, devoting countless hours nurturing plants ,flowers and cactus. She was an early riser, most mornings she would be outdoors before sunrise. Anna had a knack for baking , a skill she developed alongside her grandmother. Her coffee cake was one of her specialties. She was a great cook that included homemade raviolis, lasagna, shrimp and peas, and numerous other dishes. As a talented seamstress Anna somehow found time between family and work to make beautiful garments. She had bolts of fabric and notions in her closet. Anna's later years were spent in Borrego Springs and passed away peacefully surrounded by love in Prescott Arizona. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe and two brothers, Gerald and Ralph Galante. She is survived by her two sisters Nancy Vezzuto and Linda (jack)Webster, seven children, sons in law and daughters in law, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Anna will be laid to rest in San Pedro beside her husband Joe. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. A funeral mass will be held on Friday February 25, 2022 at Mary Star of the Sea in San Pedro at 10:30 am with a private burial immediately following at Green Hills Memorial Park In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
