Delores Kuzmanic Obituary
Delores passed away October 13, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. Delores was born March 11, 1934 to parents Petrue and Elizebeth Marean. She spent her childhood and teen years in Arcadia, CA. She married in 1955 and soon moved to San Pedro to raise her family. Single since 1972 she moved to her home in Avalon where she volunteered for the Avalon Hospital Auxiliary. "Beach Mama" as her grandchildren called her is survived by sons, Kirk and Joe; along with her grandkids, Morgan, Stephen, Paige, Kristopher, and Kirk Jr. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, October 25, 1 PM, at Rolling Hills Country Club. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Mary Medical Center Foundation in memory of Delores Kuzmanic. Their address is 1050 Linden Ave. Long Beach, 90813. Kirk & Joey, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was truly a kind woman. My first job was working for her in the mid-70's, she had so much patience with me. She had a fine sense of decorum and always dressed so classy.
The two of you were no doubt her world and she was never shy about expressing it.

Our hearts go out to Kirk and Jill, Joe and Joyce, and to all of her grandchildren. She loved you all so much! Like you, we will miss her terribly, especially her huge smile and loving personality that touched so many people where ever she went.
Aunt Delores was a wonderful person to know and a blessing to have in our family. We will keep our memories of her in our hearts forever.

We were so saddened to hear of the passing of our sweet friend Dolores. We have a vacation condo a few doors away from her in Catalina. We would always stop and say hello, chat, share stories, and laugh. We will always think of her when we are there, and she will be greatly missed.

Aunt Delores was Miss Romania in 1950 and she remained beautiful inside and out. I loved her caramel skin, exotic bone structure and green eyes. She was always kind and generous with us. She loved her family and anyone who wanted to be family, she accepted. I remember her parents and also their friend's the Mayors. Delores took care of all of them as they aged. She called me honey always and I will never forget her sweetness.

God blessed us when He sent Delores into our lives a few years ago. She was a darling, sweet woman who always put a smile on my face whenever we spoke.So full of life,she will always have a special place in our hearts.Our prayers go out to all her family.

My heart goes out to you and your family with the loss of Auntie Delores.
What a fantastic Aunt she was to me. I once told her no one could ever take her place in my heart because she was the one who took care of the "sometimes bratty" little me. I spent so much time with her when I was young. I also have wonderful memories of her gracious and talented parents.
Auntie Delores was generous and kind and quite a bit more refined than the noisy Croation side of the family. I learned a great deal from her.
I was so happy to see her in Catalina the last time we were there. We laughed and remembered the good times and told Kelvin some of the funny family stories. It was a great visit.
Delores had quite a connection with my Mother. Amazing that my Mom died less than a week before Delores. I can almost hear my Mom telling her, "Don't worry, it is such a relief to get rid of your body when it hurts and doesn't work well anymore. Cross on over, I will help you."
Now all of us need to be on our best behavior, because that is what both of them would lovingly expect. Disappointing the two of them, was never a good idea.
I feel very lucky to have Auntie Delores in my life, helping to form me. It just warms my heart to look at her smile! What a wonderful person.
