Diane Frier Obituary

After a brief bout with cancer, Diane Susan Frier passed away on September 23, 2009. She was born in Illinois in 1939 and moved to California as a young girl. Diane loved her family and enjoyed going to lunch and a movie every time she visited. She loved to travel and was able to visit many countries in her lifetime. Diane retired from General Mills, where she enjoyed working for many years in the Yoplait division. Her co-workers said she was the most dependable and kind person to work with. She continued to work in an administrative job at IAP West until she became ill. Her gentle and kind spirit will live on through her family and those who were fortunate to know her. Diane is survived by her daughters, Julie Sample of San Clemente, Pamela Comstock of Rancho Palos Verdes, and Lisa Johnson of San Clemente; sons-in-law, Rick Sample and Scott Johnson; grandkids, Sara and Lisa Sample, Colby and Garrison Comstock and Derek and Devynne Johnson. Diane was a breast cancer survivor, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure at www.komen.org Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.

I am so grateful that I got to know Diane even if it was a brief time. We were able to share with each other in the break room at work. I am saddened by her loss and my heart goes out to each and everyone on her loved ones.
