To the Family of Bill Buehler...

My wife and I were saddened to learn of Bill's passing. We first met Bill and his wife Marlyn as well as his children in 1966 when I joined the leadership team at Barrington College in Rhode Island as the Dean of Students. Bill and Marlyn took us under their wonderful wing personaly and Bill was a primary advisor to me during my years at the college. When we moved to Los Angeles who was waiting for us in the summer of 1969 but Bill and Marlyn but also Mr. and Mrs. Gibson. They had identified and held for us an apartment in their beloved San Pedro among many other kindnesses. They were friends and each summer that Bill and Marlyn came to San Pedro we would get together as well as correspond during the year. Bill's legacy as a biblical scholar and professional colleague will only be surpassed by the friendship and personal interaction that we had over the years.

To the family, thank you for sharing your father and husband with us. He is in peace and is waiting for all of us in heaven. God bless each and everyone of you.

With deepest sympathy...

My first introduction to formal Biblical Studies came under Dr Buehler when I met him at Barrington college in 1978. A man of incredible wisdom and expertise. I will always remember him with great fondness. My prayers are with your family at this time. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!!

Dear Buehler Family,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved William. My parents and family were very close to the Gibson family. My memories of visiting the Family home in San Pedro as a child, are vivid.
May you find strength knowing your loved one is in peace.
God bless you.
With deepest sympathy,
Marcy Oster
