Edith Wolff Obituary

11/15/1923 - 08/19/2022 Edith Margot Wolff, 98, passed away on August 19, 2022 at her Rancho Palos Verdes home. Edith was born in Berlin, Germany on November 15, 1923, to Richard Schone and Frieda Schone. As a young child she loved going to the North Shore beach in Germany with her parents on holiday for months at a time. One of her fondest memories was her father teaching her how to swim when he would put her on his back. He did this until she felt comfortable enough to swim on her own. She would say she couldn't understand how her father could do this with him only having one leg. Edith married Lothar Wolff on June, 24 1948. The two were each other's lifelong companions and friends. They were blessed with their son Steven on July 30, 1954. Edith dedicated her life to her husband and her son. She was an avid reader and a self proclaimed music enthusiast. She loved playing her accordion as a young adult and loved to play the piano with her husband. She was preceeded in death by her husband Lothar and her son Steve. Edith especially will be remembered for her beautiful heart and fiery spirit that was an inspiration to everyone she met. Graveside service will take place at Green Hills Memorial Park at 11am.
