Steinhilber, Isabelle
Passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at her home in Torrance after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Isabelle was a native Californian, born in Garden Grove on March 3, 1922 to Nazario and Inez Anderson Mendoza.In 1960 "Belle" as she was known to her many friends, married Wallace Frank Steinhilber, a prominent Torrance businessman and life-time resident. Belle was a homemaker during her marriage and she devoted her life to her husband up to the time of his death on May 19, 2004.Belle always lived life to the fullest and believed each day to be a gift from God. She was a woman of strong moral principles. She always kept a warm heart and open mind to those who surrounded her. She will be remembered as a loving, considerate and devoted friend to many. Belle particularly enjoyed the warm rays of the sun while sitting on her patio surrounded by friends and the many beautiful flowers and plants she so carefully selected. Belle is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Bradford of Torrance and Euthrasia Bordeaux of Laguna Woods as well as several nieces and nephews.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Halverson, Stone & Myers, 1223 Cravens Avenue in Torrance on Friday, November 16 from 2:00-8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Nativity Catholic Church on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 9:30am at 1447 Engracia Avenue, Torrance. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
