My most vivid memory of Jim McCard at Holy Trinity is when he broke both bones in his arm while broad jumping. Jim laid in the pit and did not whimper. He just asked that someone call an ambulance. Later his mother came, viewed him in the pit and without hysterics and told him that an ambulance was coming. I thought to myself McCards are strong people. I'm sure this strength of character in adversity continues in all the members of Jim's family. God bless them.

To my cousins, my Dad and Aunt Jackie, my prayers go out to you. Grandma and Uncle Jimmy all in 3 weeks time. It doesn't seem fair to lose Uncle Jimmy and I have no words that can express how sorry I am for you all. When I think of my Uncle Jimmy I always see his huge smile. He always had that great big smile whenever I saw him and throughout my life he was an Uncle who always made me feel so special and loved. I will miss him so much. Love you all, Cheryl
