Melody Faye Warren McCard, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Family will have a time for visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in the Chapel of Rooks Funeral Home in Byron with Rev. Bobby Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road in Macon.
The baby of six children born to the late William Henry Warren Sr. and Baby Ruth Brady Warren, Mrs. McCard was a homemaker and good cook that loved her family and caring for them. She was a very giving person and always wanted to be of help to someone. She enjoyed gardening in her yard and being with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory includes her husband of 40 years, Steven McCard; their son, Dillan McCard; a daughter, Judy Faye Pinnell; grandchildren, Jacob Shields, Hannah Shields, Brianna Griffin (Daniel), Melody Myrick, Noah Shields, and Brian Myrick; a sister, Sabrina Ruth Windham (Scott); and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Ruth Warren Sr., a son, Gervis Alvin Shields Jr., her brothers, William Henry Warren Jr., Daniel Eugene Warren ( Dorothy Barefoot Warren), and Charles Edward Warren, and a sister, Wanda Gail Myrick (Edward Holland Myrick).
Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
