Born in Americus to the late William Henry Bishop Jr. and Sally Crawley Breeden, Ricky worked alongside his father, John Breeden, at Bowman Auto Parts for many years. Most recently he was a carpenter, helping anyone that needed his skills, whether they were able to pay him for his efforts or not. Ricky was a simple, quiet man that professed his Christian faith, and enjoyed fishing, collecting guns, and playing darts.
Survivors include his wife, Gabby Patterson; sisters and brothers, Gail Williams, Karen Bryant, Bill Bishop (Kathy), and Greg Bishop; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sally and John Breeden, his father, William Henry Bishop Jr., and a brother, Keith Bishop.
In lieu of flowers, family respectfully requests donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
