Jes Aguon Obituary

Aguon, Jes
11/17/58 - 6/13/07
Jes "JT" Aguon passed away after a long, six and a half year battle with kidney failure. So many times he had defied the odds and returned home after bouts in the hospital. He has left behind his wife, Jan; his daughter, Megan; his father, Juan (mother Violet passed away 1994); five brothers, John, Butch, Pudgie, Mikie and Kini (Lenneth passed away 1991) and his sister, April (Sissy). Jes loved life, he was so energetic! He loved the beach (surfed in his youth); he was very competitive, really got into sports, and he would go to Las Vegas any chance he got! When he was working as a car salesman thats all he talked about. Around the house, he took to gardening, we have the greenest lawn on the block! Jes' infectious smile and laugh was contagious, he could make just about anyone feel comfortable in any situation. Jes will truly be missed by his family, his many friends and his faithful dog, Alley. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007, 3:00-7:00-pm with Vigil Service beginning at 6:00pm both at A.M. Gamby Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Friday, June 22, 2007, 10:00am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be private. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.

My heart goes out to all of you. Losing someone that was so special is very hard, but we have wonderful memories of them that will be with us forever. I remember being 16 and Jes was my boyfriend ( My sister Cathy went out with Kenny) Back then he was a surfer with long hair and a beautiful smile. I haven't seen him in over 30 years, but I still have fond memories of our time together. He touched so many lives with his aloha. Jes we will miss you!

I am truly sorry to hear about J.T. - My condolences go out to his whole family. He will truly be missed.

I did get to see him last year at our Carson High School 30th class reunion, and will always remember that bright smile and what a good guy he was! My fondest memories are when we all put on the annual polynesian show at the San Pedro Ward Church Luau with Uncle George Nauahi's group... it used to be so much fun!

His mom, Aunty Vi and my mom (Aunty Bea Sham) were very good friends as I was growing up, and I can't help but think that J.T. is with Aunty Vi now, at peace and without pain.
