Manuel was a wonderful man, kind and caring and loyal. We loved his irreverent sense of humor. He and Linn (my cousin) were very good to my family, and we all will miss him. Manuel lives on in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved him.

To all of Dr. Amil's family,

I am terribly sadden to hear of Dr. Amil's passing. He was such a kind and caring doctor. He did my "pre-employment physical" in 1962 when I went to work for Kaiser and remained my personal physician, as well as my entire family's, until his retirement. I missed him then and still do. Over the years we became fast friends. He helped make working at Kaiser a place we all looked forward to going, 'almost' every day.

I know all of you will appreciate this story knowing Dr. Amil's sense of humor. My husband had access to a PDR ... he was taking meds prescribed by Dr. Amil .... but after looking up this medication, he felt he needed a particular blood test and told Dr. Amil. So ... Dr. Amil let my husband be the doctor, and ordered what he was asking for. When my husband arrived at the lab, the receptionist told him "this must be a mistake" "this test is for pregnant women only". With a very red face, my husband left laughing all the way! Dr. Amil told my husband that he would call him when he wanted a cop, if he didn't try to practice medicine!

Please know I will hold him in my heart and prayers forever, as well as all of you.

Sincerely,
Pat Mihovil

We would like to send our love to the Amil family. Our family was blessed to know him.
Dr. Amil was our doctor many years ago and has always been a personal friend to our family. We always loved his lively spirit.
When he retired a few years ago he saw to it that we had a good doctor to replace him at Kaiser.
Marvin will always remember the time he spent doing odd jobs for him at his house and the support he gave to him during difficult times in his life. Marvin always felt that Dr. Amil treated him as though he was another son.
Whenever Dr. Amil would arrive for special occasions or to a dinner out together he would bring his unique personality that made for a very lively gathering.
He will be missed but never forgotten.
To Linn and Brent and the entire family we send our special prayers.
God Bless you all.
