Marcella Merrill Obituary
Marcella Merrill, a 52 year resident of the South Bay, passed away at home with family on Thursday, December 13, 2012 in Rancho Palos Verdes. Born in Jefferson, South Dakota, Marcella was 93 years old when she died. She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, and enjoyed bowling and playing bridge. Marcella is survived by her husband of 74 years, Marvin Merrill of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; son, Gary Merrill of Denver, CO; son, Mike (Judi) Merrill of Long Beach, CA; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. The Memorial Service will be held at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Rancho Palos Verdes on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 12 noon, with a reception to follow. Private burial will take place at Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Torrance Memorial Home Health and Hospice. Memories of Marcella are filled with laughter and the love she shared with my Sister Maureen's family for so many years as a great neighbor. Life was a challenge for this bright, energetic gal and a blessing to those who knew and learned from her. Comfort and love to Marvin.
