Mary Faith Sipprell

1937 - 2019

Feb. 6, 1937 - Feb. 9, 2019 Mary Faith Sipprell (nee Fallon) passed away on Saturday, February 9 at her family home in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA surrounded by her four children. Mary Faith was born in Buffalo, New York in 1937 to Edward and Leone Fallon, the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Hamburg High School and received her degree in history from Marymount College in Tarrytown New York. In 1959, she married William Henry Sipprell, Jr. of Hamburg, New York. They divorced in 1981 and she later married David Stanley Nagel, also a Hamburg native. Mary Faith and David co-owned Empire Volvo in Tonawanda, New York before moving to Southern California. She opened South Bay Pendleton in 1986 and expanded the business to add San Gabriel Valley Pendleton in 1988, taking on her daughter Kathryn (Kate) as partner. Upon Mary's retirement, Kate has continued the family legacy under the name McKenna's Pendleton, now located in Lomita, CA. Mary Faith is survived by her brother, Leo J. Fallon of Williamsville, New York and her sister, Mary Joy Manning of Albany, New York; as well as her children Karen Sipprell (Mac Irvin) of Portola Valley, CA; Mary Beth Syal (Ashvin) of Rolling Hills, CA; Stephen Sipprell of Mission Viejo, CA; and Kate McKenna (Michael) of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA as well as her seven grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Glendale, CA on Friday, February 15 at 11 am.
