Michael Tedesco Obituary
May 13, 1945 - January 7, 2014
Michael "Coach" Tedesco a lifetime resident of San Pedro, passed away at his home on January 7th 2014. Michael is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charol Tedesco, also a native of San Pedro and three daughters, Kimberlee Tedesco, Kallen (Joe) Patalano and Kara (Alex) Montano. "Coach T" was active in his community. He had a passion for teaching, coaching various sports and selling little pieces of his beloved San Pedro. A viewing will be held at Green Hills Chapel from 5-7pm on Tuesday, January 14th immediately followed by a Rosary. A funeral service will be held at Mary Star of the Sea Church in San Pedro on Wednesday, January 15th at 10:30am. A donation fund has been established in Michael Tedesco's name for his Alma Mater, Ferman Lasuen. Please note on the check, Lasuen Run in Remembrance of Coach Tedesco. I am so grateful for the opportunity to know Mike. He sold my mom, sister and I our condo in San Pedro 16 years ago. What a great man and realtor. This summer I went up to his office and visited with him for the first time in a very long time. I am so happy I had that opportunity. He will be missed by many and my prayers are with his family at this time. We will see him again. God Bless all of you.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your dear husband and dad. I had the honor and privilege of playing football for Coach Mike at Daniel Murphy in the fall of '72, his first year at our school. I'll always remember him for his leadership, dedication and caring guidance as both a coach and teacher. He made a real impact on me as a young man and I'm sure on scores of other student athletes who played for him over the years. May you be comforted by all the wonderful memories that you have of him over the years, and may he rest in peace with the Lord forever. (P.S.: Here's a picture of how I will always remember Coach.)

Michael, we began as neighbors some 58 years ago and grew into cherished friends for all time. You inspired me to value family above all else. Kim, Kallen and Kara, I was overjoyed to help your Mom & Dad coach you all through your softball careers. Your Dad was a very special man who raised you well, and that is attested by your marvelous accomplishments.Charol, your and Mike's eternal support for each other was beautiful to behold.
