Mike Cornell Obituary

August 26, 2022 On August 26, 2022, Mike Cornell lost his battle to cancer. A graduate from Carson High School, Mike was a master mechanic and classic car lover who owned South Bay Folkscraft for the last 43 years. His business was one of the oldest independently operated car shops in the City of Torrance. Even after his diagnosis, Mike continued to operate his shop for as long as he could. Unfortunately, after his passing, the shop is now closed. His family would like to thank the customers of South Bay Folkscraft. People knew him as a very straight forward man, with a huge heart. A man who showed his love through actions and not words. Mike will be missed by his family and friends. Mike is survived by his wife Lorie, his son Lonnie, and granddaughters Ava and London.
