Milan Dominis

Milan Dominis, 80, peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, John Dominis; and his parents, Ante and Milica Dominis. He is survived here in San Pedro, by his wife, Marija Dominis; son, Tony Dominis; daughter-in-law, Colleen; and 2 beautiful granddaughters, Zemira and Milena Dominis. As well as many family members in Croatia, including his sisters, Liza and Svetka. Milan came to the United States, at 31 years old, with very little in his pocket, but with a lot in his heart. He created a wonderful life for his family, by working hard as a welder, entrepreneur, Alaska fisherman, husband, father, and grandfather. His quick wit and timely jokes, coupled with his sincerity to stand for what he believed will always be part of his legacy as a proud Croat. A Vigil will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 5:30pm at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10:30am at Mary Star of the Sea Church followed by interment at Green Hills Memorial Park.
