Paul G. Meliota passed away on March 22, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born in 1927 in San Pedro and was a resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, California. He is survived by his children, Greg Meliota, Randy (Laura) Meliota and Rose (Doug) Starkey. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel. Our condolences to all his family and friends. He was one of my favorite bosses when I came as an ID back in 1980s. I think it was mostly his sense of humor and his old school approach to work.

I remember Paul attedning my classes. I always looked forward to his attendance as I enjoyed his input coming from years of experience on the waterfront. Not only I but the other students learned much from Paul. Most of all Paul's good humor made everyone's day. How fortuante his children had a father to look up to and have his mentoring. Paul will be missed and remember by his friends and the brothers from Local 94 that worked so closely with him.
