Sincere condolences to everyone in the family. Mr. Wood was an amazing man & teacher. He contributed to this world in so many ways and helped train young minds to think, learn & succeed. I´m thankful for having been one of his students & for my time spent with David & the family while at Chadwick School.

So sorry for your loss. Wistar was one of a kind and so very generous with his time and resources. A very forward-thinking man, he loved our planet and his fellow human beings, a real example of love in action.

I met Wistar and Bertie over 12 years ago when they had a demonstration garden with Ocean Friendly Gardens in their front yard. We learned about Calif. native plants and how to plant them and i helped plant several in their front yard. Shortly after that I asked if they would like to show their garden on my now annual South Bay Water-Wise Garden Tour. They have been on my tour showing their garden for the last 11 years. One day I stopped by to leave a garden tour sign for their front yard when Westar invited me in. I said I could only stay a few moments, but I stayed for hours. I played Scrabble with Bertie (she beat me good) and then Bertie asked me to stay for dinner. What a delightful couple, down to earth and so friendly. I shall miss Wistar and his friendliness. My condolences to his family, especially Bertie, and all their friends. He was and is a good man. Namaste my friend.
