I got to know Barry in high school and was fortunate to keep in touch with him through the following 50 years. Barry had a brilliant and inquisitive mind, but was also a gifted athlete in about any sport he wanted to pursue. I was fortunate to be able to spend time at the Stringer house in Rist Canyon, ski with him at A Basin, Crested Butte and Hidden Valley, accompany him on jeep trips, and try various games at the house in Boulder. Although I will miss him, I won't forget some of our great adventures in the Colorado mountains.

Barry and I began a friendship 50 years ago as classmates and fellow Lambkins. We became fraternity brothers and we skied together most every weekend in the winter. I remember trying my utmost to ski with the same grace and elegance as Barry. We both dated a girls from nearby sororities, incredible ladies we both were lucky enough to marry. Our friendship continued with summer softball games in various Denver parks to most recently at the last home football game at CSUs Hughes Stadium. I dont know what words to use to comfort Jacque, Jamie and Daniel, so I choose to remember some of the good times, and there were many, and hope this in some small way helps. Barry, you will be missed.

I don't have words to tell you all how sorry I am about this. Dad could hardly say it. I know Barry meant so much to my dad and will be dearly missed. I have vague memories of him, one being the big BBQ at your house in Boulder when I was about 10. Just about every time Dad tells a story, it's about Barry, Randy, Ralph, and him. Just a few weeks ago I heard a story about raising chinchillas and a basement full of them. Hang on to your memories, may they comfort you the rest of your lives.
