DOMINGA RUIZ VASQUEZ

Dominga Ruiz Vasquez, age 95, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the JourneyCare Hospice surrounded by her family. Dominga was born in Panama on December 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Benjamin & Emilia (nee Barrios) Ruiz. She was a resident of the Algonquin area for the past 30 years and attended St. Monica Church in Carpentersville. Survivors include her four children: Emperatriz (Charles) Barnett, Tita (Gerald) Barnett, Felix Vasquez and Berta (George) Moone. Dominga is also survived by her eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, her sisters: Catalina Medina and Benigna Chamorro and her brothers: Francisco and Felicio Ruiz. In addition to her parents, Dominga was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Felix Vasquez on May 19, 1991, two brothers and one sister. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 A.M. in the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee with prayers to St. Monica Church, Carpentersville for Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.
