Eli Michael Joseph Gabriella

Eli Michael Joseph Gabriella was born on January 16, 1983 and died in a construction accident while helping to rebuild a neighborhood in Louisville, CO, on March 11, 2023. (He had lost his home in the Marshall Fire of 2021.) He was 40 years old. Born in Boulder, CO, to parents Robert ("Bob") and Diana (Lewis) Gabriella and was joined by his sister, Lia (Gabriella) Feldman in September, 1984. He spent his childhood in Cheyenne, WY. He had also lived in Lafayette, Johnstown, Boulder, Loveland, Brighton, Thornton, Arvada, Battlement Mesa, and most recently, Westminster, CO. But his heart of hearts belonged in Marshall, CO, where he was a fourth generation Gabriella resident. His heart was also stolen in 2019 by his tiny but powerful niece, Zoe Feldman, daughter of Lia and husband, Zack Feldman. He was married to Stacy (Dombrowski) Dundon, formerly of Berthoud, CO, (divorced); and to Brittany Salthouse, formerly of Brighton, CO, (divorced). He loved his vehicles: 4-wheelers, Jeeps and jeeping, motorcycles, jet skis and cars...lots of cars...he owned more than 40 throughout his life. He adored babies and children of all ages, dogs, hiking, driving around, road trips, the mountains, snow, beaches, and overcast days. Untold numbers of friends and acquaintances remember him with great, adventurous (and misadventurous) good-time memories and his huge smile. If someone needed help with ANYthing, he was always there to lend a hand, tools, advice, or a hug. Please remember Eli in the best of times. If you choose to do so, celebrate his life by doing something fun with anyone that shared a part of his short but amazing story. He is survived by his beloved parents, aunties, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by grandparents Angelo and Pat Gabriella, Boulder,CO; Emily Allen, Cheyenne, WY; and Ben and Helen Lewis, Roy, WA. Cremation has taken place. There will be a small gathering in the near future. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to some of his favorite causes: Toys for Tots, animal shelters, Habitat for Humanity, or victims of the Marshall Fire through the Boulder Community Foundation.
