Jeffrey Beeman

Jeffrey Hudson Beeman passed away peacefully on January 30, 2023 in Boulder CO at the age of 89. Jeff will be remembered for being kind, caring, generous, intelligent, humorous, and athletic. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from Stanford University in 1956 with a B.S. in Physics. He spent 4 years as an Officer in the Navy and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant. He earned his Masters in Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1964. He moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1972 with his wife and children to work at IBM. After retiring from IBM in the early 90's, he spent most of his time skiing, hiking, and bicycling. He was an avid skier with the SkiMeisters for almost 3 decades. He was on the slopes until he was 86 years old. He remained active and continued going on bike rides until November 2022. Jeff is survived by his daughter Johanna (Jojo) Starr Beeman, son in-law Darren Sims, his loving partner Sandy Bruggeman, niece Ashley Beeman, nephew Greg Beeman, cousins David E. Beeman and Cory Morse. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Harold Alonzo Beeman and mother Jeanette Caroline Hudson, his brother Fredrick David Beeman, his son David Jeffrey Beeman, and his ex-wife of 44 years Donna Beeman. His body was donated to the State Anatomical Board at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and will be used for the purpose of education and research. His ashes will be returned in 2 years and will be scattered per his wishes. Jeff's friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at his Memorial on May 20, 2023.
